  1. Why do I have to call to sign up for tutoring?

    1. We want to address your specific needs and questions.  Other tutoring companies may provide the opportunity to sign up for tutoring online, but the fact is that there is no way to provide the personalized help you need in order to succeed.  By speaking with us directly, we can guarantee the perfect tutor and a plan to increase your success.  It’s important to us to provide superior tutoring, and speaking with our clients on the phone is the only way to ensure they are satisfied.  Alternatively, you can fill out the form on this page and we will call you within 12-24 hours.

  2. What is your 100% Satisfaction Guarantee?

    1. We guarantee a perfect match. If you are not immediately satisfied with your tutor following the first session, we will be very surprised, but happy to match you with a different tutor.  If you are still dissatisfied, we will refund your money.  There is no risk to you because you do not have to sign a long-term contract or pay enrollment fees.

  3. What types of payment do you accept?

    1. We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover).  We do not, however, accept cash and checks.  We ask you for your credit card information prior to starting tutoring; you do not give your credit card information to your tutor.  

    2. Note: Our payment system is encrypted via Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS) & our website is 128-bit encrypted via GeoTrust Extended Validation SSL CA. We guarantee your information is safe.

  4. How often am I charged?

    1. We only charge you in advance for the first session.  For all subsequent sessions, we charge one time every two weeks, and only for sessions that have already occurred in that time.

  5. How can I cancel tutoring?

    1. You can end your tutoring with us any time by calling our office or contacting your tutor. You will only be charged for the sessions that have already occurred.

    2. To ensure scheduling convenience for our tutors, we have a 24-hour cancellation policy for all sessions.  If you cancel a session less than 24 hours in advance, you will be charged up to the first hour of your session only. Cancellations made 24 hours (or more) before the session will not be charged.

  6. Do I need to sign a long-term contract?

    1. Absolutely not.  Many companies require you to buy a certain amount of hours before getting started. We think that is silly, especially for students that only need short-term assistance. You can start out with 1 hour, or 1000 hours.

  7. What if I have unused tutoring/consulting hours?

    1. Any unused tutoring or consulting hours are valid indefinitely--they will never expire.

  8. What if I need extra tutoring after getting started?

    1. You can schedule as many hours as you would like by contacting us or speaking with your tutor/consultant.  Please keep in mind that tutors/consultants work with many students and may have a limited availability.  It is best to schedule in advance to ensure convenience for your tutor.  You are certainly welcome to schedule with multiple tutors by calling our office directly.

  9. Do I pay my tutor directly?

    1. Tutors are only in charge of one thing: providing high-caliber education.  While you may speak with them directly about scheduling changes, any questions regarding payment should be directed to our office staff at .

  10. Can I start with just one session?

    1. We often recommend that students begin with one session to ensure a perfect match.  However, in order to benefit from your tutors, many students need several sessions.  Over the course of these sessions, tutors can help you learn the material, provide studying and time management strategies, and plan for long-term success.

  11. How do Admissions Consulting sessions work?

    1. Because we provide high-quality online admissions consulting via video conferencing software, our experts are available for students throughout the United States and Canada. We provide local, in-person, one-on-one consulting in areas near Orange County, San Diego, and Los Angeles.  We offer a free 20-minute consultation to prospective applications with one of our admissions consultants.
