This past year I earned my Single Subject California Teaching Credential in Social Studies from UC Irvine. While earning my MA in Teaching '26, I was a Student Teacher at Anaheim High School for the 2025-2026 school year where I worked in both an 11th Grade U.S. History/Ethnic Studies and AP US History classroom. As a certified Social Studies teacher, and soon-to-be certified English teacher, I have extensive knowledge not just in these subjects but how to teach these subjects, both regular and AP. In my teaching experience I not only help students develop an understanding of the content, but also develop cross-curricular skills in academic reading and writing which sets them up for success both in and outside of the classroom.
Teaching Methodology
Teaching is more than just helping students understand "what" the correct answer is, but helping them understand the "why" behind what they are learning. My teaching methodology helps students understand difficult concepts by connecting it to real-world contexts that leverage students' prior knowledge and experiences. This helps them see the "what" and "why" behind what they're learning, promoting deeper understanding. My teaching methodology is flexible and differentiated to students' individual strengths and needs. With experience working with diverse learners from English Language Learners to those with IEP and 504 Plans, I am able to differentiate, design and scaffold lessons that support all students.

I enjoy a variety of activities in my free time, from playing and/or watching sports like baseball and basketball to reading and playing video games. If I'm not hanging out with friends, I'm either traveling or trying new foods! In addition to my own interests, I am also a Parades Trainer at the Disneyland Resort where I professionally train fellow cast members while developing my own leadership skills. As a self-described "jack of all trades," I'm always seeking out opportunities to try new things to learn and grow. This allows me to always be flexible in teaching to students' needs yet able to connect what they're learning to real-world contexts.
