Prior to university, I completed a rigorous Advanced Placement curriculum, earning scores of 5 on AP English Language, AP English Literature, AP U.S. History, AP U.S. Government, AP European History, AP Spanish, and AP Biology. These experiences provide me with firsthand familiarity with the expectations of high-level academic coursework and the study habits necessary to succeed in rigorous academic environments. Additionally, I grew up in Orange County, so I'm familiar with, and sympathetic to, the uniquely competitive academic environment in which many of my clients navigate their future plans. As an ESL and K-12 instructor, I’ve developed strategic lesson plans, assessed student progress, and adapted to individual needs. My I have also advised students on college application essays and scholarship, helping applicants articulate meaningful experiences and present cohesive personal narratives. Finally, I bring a unique perspective on highly selective admissions. I was a semifinalist for the Fulbright Program and nominated by UC Irvine for the Rhodes Scholarship. Through my years at Oxford and my work in Washington, D.C., I developed personal and professional relationships with Fulbright, Rhodes, Marshall, and other scholarship recipients, as well as alumni across Oxbridge, the UC system, and the Ivy League. These experiences have given me direct insight into the expectations of competitive admissions committees and the qualities that distinguish exceptional applications and test outcomes. My academic and professional experiences demonstrate not only exceptional writing and editorial ability, but also a genuine commitment to mentoring students through one of the most consequential stages of their educational journey.
